Conference Overview
1. Where will the conference take place?
The conference will be held at Outward Bound Singapore (OBS) Coney Campus, located on Coney Island (Pulau Serangoon), off the northeastern coast of Singapore.
The campus offers an immersive outdoor education experience within a pristine nature park setting, providing delegates with an authentic connection to Singapore's natural environment.
2. What is included in the Standard Conference Package?
The Standard Conference Package includes:
- Airport pickup and drop-off (scheduled shuttle service)
- Refreshment & meals during pre-conference activity and conference (including all official functions)
- Quad-share accommodation at OBS Coney Campus for the duration of the pre-conference activity and conference
It does not include:
- Air travel
- Personal travel expenses (like Visa, additional luggage charges, in-flight services)
- Personal insurance
- Accommodations, activities and meals at other locations
3. When is the registration deadline?
Registration closes on 1st September 2026. Please ensure payment is completed by this date, as confirmation will only be provided upon receipt of payment.
Travel & Entry Requirements
1. Do I need a Visa to enter Singapore?
Visa requirements vary by nationality. Please check the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) website at https://www.ica.gov.sg/enter-transit-depart/entering-singapore/visa_requirements for specific requirements. If you need supporting documents for your visa application, please contact us for assistance.
Important: All travellers must complete the electronic SG Arrival Card (SGAC) 3 days prior to arrival at https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard/
2. What is the dress code for the conference and what should I pack for Singapore's climate?
Singapore has a tropical climate with temperatures ranging from 25-31°C (77-88°F). Expect warm, humid conditions with occasional rainfall.
We recommend packing:
- Light, breathable clothing (including long pants for pre-conference activities and climbing)
- Comfortable walking shoes and sandals
- Sun protection (hat, sunscreen)
- Rain jacket or umbrella
- Insect repellent
- Light Jacket (air-conditioning in meeting rooms can be cold)
- Towel
- Toiletries
- Water bottle
3. What type of power adapter do I need?
Singapore uses Type G electrical sockets with 230V power supply. Please bring a universal travel adapter to ensure your devices can be charged.
Transportation
1. How will airport transfers be arranged?
We provide scheduled transfers for different accommodation arrangements:
a) Delegates staying at OBS Coney Campus will receive direct airport transfers before and after the conference.
b) Those choosing to stay at Dorsett Changi City Singapore will have daily transfers (mornings & evenings) to and from the conference venue.
c) Delegates staying elsewhere may join the scheduled transfers from Dorsett Changi City Singapore.
Specific meeting points and timings will be shared closer to the conference date.
2. When should I arrive in Singapore if I am attending the pre-conference activity?
If you are attending the pre-conference activity (11 October 2026), you should plan to arrive in Singapore on 10 October 2026 (Saturday). This will give you time to settle in before the activity begins the following morning. Your accommodation and meals are covered.
Accommodation
1. Can I request a single room at OBS Coney Campus?
Single rooms are not available. All onsite delegates will be allocated quad-sharing rooms to maximise networking and community-building opportunities among international participants.
2. If I prefer to arrange my own accommodation on mainland Singapore, what would you recommend?
While we encourage onsite accommodation for the full conference experience, we understand individual preferences may vary.
We recommend Dorsett Changi City Singapore for mainland accommodation, as daily transport to and from the conference venue is provided exclusively from this hotel.
Conference Venue & Facilities
No, OBS Coney Campus is located within a protected nature park with no retail outlets nearby. We strongly recommend purchasing all travel essentials, SIM cards, snacks, and toiletries at Changi Airport before arrival at the venue.
2. Is internet access available?
Yes, Wi-Fi will be provided throughout the campus for conference delegates.
3. What dining options are available?
All meals provided will be Halal-certified and beef-free to accommodate diverse dietary preferences. If you have specific dietary restrictions or requirements, please indicate these in your registration form, and we may contact you to ensure we can properly accommodate your needs.
4. Is smoking or vaping allowed?
Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited throughout OBS Coney Campus and its surrounding park area, as Coney Island is a designated National Park. Violations will result in fines under Singapore law.
5. Is alcohol allowed?
As a national educational institution, alcohol is restricted on the OBS Coney Campus. Please do not bring alcohol drinks into the premises.
6. Will there be medical facilities available?
Yes, OBS Coney Campus has an onsite medical centre staffed by Registered Nurses to handle minor ailments and provide basic medical care during your stay.
